How many email addresses do you have? I have lost track of many of them but still have email overload. I have alumni email addresses and email addresses for my custom domains. The emails I regularly check are my G Suite email account, a Yahoo email address (mostly used for signups), two Gmail accounts (professional and personal), and an old Hotmail account (the first email account I can remember having). I’ve consolidated the Inboxes and used forwards so I mostly go to one place to check the email.
Why do I have so many email addresses? What is it about our digital lives that makes us hoarders? When I buy a new item, it often replaces an older, broken, outgrown one. I’ve definitely outgrown my Hotmail and maybe even Yahoo. None of these email addresses bring me joy, but yet I find myself unable to part with any of them. I have way too many emails. Why can’t I escape this email overload?
